Growing up with a longing to explore the world, Tanya Goltz left her small country hometown at 15. Now armed with insights after giving in to a serious case of wanderlust, suffering heartbreak, falling hard in love and experiencing the triumphs and heartaches of working as a social worker, Goltz non apologetically addresses love, loss and empowerment in her debut EP, Pieces of Me.
Pieces of Me is a collection of lived experience and stories witnessed through the artists life journey to date. Featuring three tracks self-penned, with an additional two tracks from Nashville songwriters, Goltz is proud of her debut offering. “I wanted to make sure that my own unique voice was featured, in addition to the two other incredible songs that I chose for the project. The minute I heard the other tracks, I knew that they were meant for me”.
The EP was recorded at Red Engine Recording with Aria and award-winning producers, Steve James and Andrew Cochrane. “Stepping into such an incredible studio to share and shape my songs, with such experienced and internationally renowned producers, was such an overwhelming but gratifying experience. Every day I wake up and feel incredibly lucky to be on this journey”.
The stand out feature across the EP is Goltz’ immaculate vocal stylings identified by Illustrate Magazine as “rich and fiery, taking centre stage delivering lyrics with a commanding presence”. Influenced by the likes of Brandi Carlile, Sheryl Crow, Alanis Morrisette, ZZ Ward and Miranda Lambert; Pieces of Me deftly combines sounds of rock, alternative country, folk and blues with a distinct retro undertone.

Having co-written with award winning artists such as Lyn Bowtell, Mike Carr and David Carter in addition to Australian author and singer-songwriter Pip Drysdale and producer Adrian Hannan, Goltz is already planning her next project. "I really want to continue to grow as an artist and improve my capacity as a writer. My goal is to create and share songs that connect and resonate with my audience and the best way to do that is to keep writing. I have already started working on songs for my next project and I'm really excited for what the next 12 months will bring"
With Happy Mag identifying Goltz as “a force to be reckoned with” and AAA Backstage reporting that “Tanya Goltz is a name sure to be on the lips of many industry leaders in the near future”; Goltz is an essential artist to have on your radar.
